Cattle Farming Technology Components

News

In cattle farming technologies, BPTP NTT has achieved technology capability to conduct improved breeding and fattening using assessed local specific technologies, as well as the technology in feeding management. Here are some technology components that were well secured by BPTP NTT and thus can be recommended, i.e. : (i) The formulation of block mineral prepared by using local available manterials, (ii) Hay making using hand made hay press, (iii) Making of silage without perservatives usage, (iv) Breeding technology using natural mating and Artificial Insemitation, (v) Control mating technology to sinchronize the time of calf born with the time of best available forage, thus reducing mortality rate, (vi) BPTP NTT has even got the technology ready for making frozen semen, provide that the availability of liquid N is guaranteed, (vii) Formulation and making of low cost local feed using local design machine for pelleting in collabortion with local workshop in Kupang (PALWA); The machine is multifunctions, that can make fine quality meal of various material (meal of wood cuttings and trimmings, meal of bone, manure meal, rice straw meal, corn meal, cassava meal and others).
